*What does it mean to be a certified coach? To be a CPCC a coach has completed the core curriculum (104 hours) at the Coaches Training Institute, the certification curriculum (92 hours) including supervision for 6 months, 100 paid coaching hours and passing the oral and written exam.
**What does it mean to be ICF Credentialed? This means a coach is a member of the International Coach Federation which governs and supports the profession of coaching. To hold a Professional Certified Coach credential, a coach has completed an ICF-accredited coaching school (Emily completed at CTI) or passed an ICF exam, a minimum of 750 hours of coaching (Emily has well over 1000), and two letters of referral from coaches of the same or higher credential (only MCC higher than PCC) stating the coach is coaching at that skill level. To maintain the credential the coach needs to attend 40 hours of on-going training within the three-year period of renewal. Emily regularly garners well above the 40 hour minimum of training in a three-year period by attending conferences and cutting-edge coach training workshops and programs.
